Temecula Getaway!
Ponte Winery Inn & Restaurant: If you live in Southern California, and haven’t been to Temecula, you are truly missing out! Weekend getaways to Temecula are quickly becoming a favorite pastime of ours, and we have found the perfect place to stay. This 60 room boutique hotel is just as visually stunning on the inside as it is on the outside, with elegant features and posh decor. Not to mention the views of the surrounding vineyards are absolutely breathtaking! They are also home to some of our favorite restaurants in Temecula, so you really can’t go wrong! Bouquet is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and has both indoor and outdoor dining. We strongly recommend sitting outside in the courtyard… it’s heavenly! The Restaurant at Ponte is outdoors in the middle of gardens and vineyards, that are lit by twinkle lights each evening. It’s one of the most romantic (and delicious) restaurants we have ever experienced!
Magical Staycation in Laguna Beach... Can We Do This Monthly?
It’s possible that your only knowledge of Laguna Beach is based on the MTV reality show a few years back. Don’t worry, we don’t judge you. (Alli owns all of 3 seasons.) But while Laguna Beach is the famed birthplace of Lauren Conrad, it is SO much more than what you’ve seen on TV! Laguna Beach is home to some of the most picturesque beaches on the California coast, quaint hotels, scenic restaurants, and specialty shops and boutiques. If you are looking to escape to a relaxing, pampering, and dreamy beach town - Laguna Beach is it! A word of precaution: Laguna Beach is touristy. We recommend avoiding the Summer crowds, and visit in the Spring, Fall, or Winter months!
The Inn at Laguna Beach: What serves wine during sunset, cookies and milk for dessert, has stunning ocean views and is steps from the hustle of restaurants, bars, and world-class shopping? The Inn at Laguna Beach! From the location to the countless little ways their staff makes every guest feel like family, The Inn at Laguna Beach is an oceanfront gem. We highly suggest walking across the street to the neighborhood Whole Foods, buying some wine, bread and cheese, and having a picnic on your balcony. This, folks, is what dreams are made of.
Las Brisas: Located next door to The Inn at Laguna Beach, Las Brisas serves up Mexican cuisine with a coastal twist! Las Brisas has it all: oceanfront views, friendly staff, handcrafted cocktails, chips and salsa… do we need to continue?! We’ve tried several entrees on the menu and have yet to be disappointed, but our favorite is their new Chicken Mole!
